Angel Flight Georgia Calls For Help!

Volunteers needed to ferry fully-trained seeing-eye German Sheperds and trainers from FL to GA

Mike Radomsky, president of the Cirrus Owners and Pilots Association, has forwarded to ANN an urgent plea for help from Angel Flight Georgia, through their spokeswoman, Bernadette Darnell.

The situation is that there are 23 highly trained and very valuable seeing-eye German Shepherd dogs that need to be evacuated from Sarasota (FL) (KSRQ) to Carrollton (GA) (KCTJ), along with ten trainers.

This is an urgent need - these dogs are near the end of their training, "good as gold," and almost ready to start their lives as service animals. Angel Flight Georgia would like to get all the dogs and trainers moved as soon as possible.

Once again, because these are not medical patients, Angel Flight Georgia can use non-Angel Flight pilots. If you can help, please call Bernadette at (770) 452-7958, extention 2, and identify yourself as a volunteer for the seeing eye dog missions.
