SiFly Emerges From Stealth, Unveils Next-Gen Drone Tech

Centerpiece Q-12 Vehicle Delivers Improved Endurance, Range

SiFly, a startup based in Santa Clara, California, came out of stealth mode and unveiled its next-generation all-electric, autonomous drone platforms that provide improved limits of range and endurance at prices competitive with current products currently on the market.

The flagship of SiFly’s launch is its Q12 drone. It offers continuous hover for 2 hours as well as up to 3 hours in forward flight to enable up to 90 miles of operating range along with a payload capacity of 10 pounds.

These improvements over current drones open up possibilities for BVLOS operations (beyond visual line of sight) that previously were not attainable.

Deliveries of the Q12 are slated to begin late this year.

Brian Hinman, Founder and CEO of SiFly said, "Commercial drones have long forced organizations to compromise between flight duration, payload capacity, and operational range. We eliminated those trade-offs. SiFly drones are transforming emergency response, infrastructure inspection, and logistics—delivering helicopter-class performance at drone economics."

SiFly has expanded its portfolio to include the Q250, a heavy-lift drone that can carry a 200 pound payload for an endurance of up to 100 minutes. This capability can directly compete with conventional helicopter transport in fire suppression, commercial and military cargo, and agricultural spraying missions at a fraction of the cost.

SiFly’s technology has been confirmed with thousands of successful flights that also validate its capabilities in real-world missions such as with Amaral Ranches in California’s Salinas Valley. The Q12’s onboard algorithms and cloud-connected data streams have demonstrated the vehicle’s capacity to deliver large-scale real-time insights.
