Broward Aviation Services Acquires Materials Provider Support Air

Specializes In Parts, Exchanges For Boeing, Airbus Fleet Types

Broward Aviation Services Group announce the acquisition of service company and aircraft material provider Support Air, near Dayton, Ohio. Broward was founded in 1996 and specializes in Boeing and Airbus fleet aircraft pre-owned parts for freight carriers and corporate flight departments via material sales, advance exchanges, and consignment services.

Support Air will continue operating as a standalone company and no changes to the current executive leadership team are expected. The acquisition complements the current portfolio of BASG and solidify its dedication to foster growth in the aviation USM (used serviceable material) aftermarket segment.

Kurt Krafka, Founder & President of Support Air said, “We are excited to be acquired by BASG. I’ve known and worked with the founders for many years. Their portfolio of companies has an excellent reputation and with their investment and involvement I could not have asked for better long-term stewards of Support Air.”

The USM market offers a cost-effective alternative to new parts for MRO operations, and includes such components as engines, landing gear, avionics, and structural components.

Dennis Amaty, Co-Founder & President of BASG said, “Their experience and dedication to customer service is in alignment with ours. The customer accounts are not in competition with each other and the fleet types supported by Support Air align with the maintenance, repair, and overhaul capabilities available at our FAA, EASA, & UK CAA certified repair shops as well as our current and future aircraft part-out projects and package acquisitions.”

Amaty said about the acquisition, “We appreciate keeping business simple here, negotiations were swift and equitable for both businesses. For us, a handshake was all it took.”
