Recoil Aerospace Close to Offering T1000-E Wildfire System

1,000-Gallon Drop Tank Light, Robust Option

Recoil Aerospace says they are "on the brink of a major milestone" in the course of offering their T1000-E Wildfire Suppression System.

The suite is 'nearing final approval' of the Supplemental Type Certificate required to bring it to market. The T1000-E offers operators a "leap forward in aerial firefighting capabilities", offering a well-rounded combination of features and capabilities at a pricepoint more accessible to smaller operators. Recoil has already begun ramping up production of the tanks to meet demand ahead of the toasty 2024 wildfire season, and is now taking deposits.

On the spec sheet, the T1000-E sports a 1,000-gallon capacity, with a time-to-fill of 35 to 40 seconds. Once over the target, all 1,000 gallons can be dropped in 5 seconds, the system's redundant systems ensure it remains secure post-drop. After installation, the entire suite only weighs 550 lbs, and is powered by the aircraft's AC system. A 30-gallon foam tank rounds out the installation, allowing efficient application of improved retardants.

"We are thrilled to be on the verge of achieving STC approval for our T1000-E Wildfire Suppression System," said Joseph Rice, President & Managing Director of Recoil Aerospace. "This imminent milestone is a testament to our dedication to innovation, safety, and excellence in aerial firefighting. We are confident that the imminent approval of the T1000-E STC will mark a significant advancement in aerial firefighting technology. The T1000-E system's innovative features and capabilities will empower firefighters to combat wildfires with unprecedented efficiency and effectiveness while prioritizing safety."
