Garmin GDL-69A Now Available For DA40

Diamond Star Owners Get Weather And Radio

The Garmin GDL-69A has been certified for the DA40-180 Diamond Star.

Installation of the GDL-69A will provide Diamond Star operators with near-real time weather information and digital entertainment radio.

The GDL-69A receives XMTM satellite signals to deliver near real-time weather information to the G1000 high-resolution displays, including NEXRAD weather data, METARS, TAFs, TFRs, winds aloft, echo tops, precipitation type (at surface), lightning, severe weather, AIRMETs, SIGMETS and more. The receiver also provides for over 130 channels of music, news talk, sports and information radio.

The GDL-69A is available immediately on newly manufactured Diamond Stars and a Service Bulletin will be issued for retrofit to delivered aircraft.
