GoFly Final Fly Off Is February 27-29

EAA Is An Official Sponsor For The Competition

The culmination of the GoFly global competition ... the GoFly Final Fly Off ... is slated for February 27-29, 2020 at Moffett Federal Airfield at NASA's Ames Research Center, Mountain View, California.

The GoFly Prize, a $2 million global competition comprised of 850 teams from 103 countries all vying to create personal flying machines in a multiphase challenge.

Competitors were charged with creating a personal flyer that is smaller, lighter and quieter than anything that has ever existed before. Some 31 Phase II Teams across 16 countries submitted entries and were reviewed by a panel of experts across 2 rounds of judging.

The five Phase II winners, in alphabetical order, are:

  • Aeroxo LV, ERA Aviabike, Latvia and Russia
  • DragonAir Aviation, Airboard 2.0, United States
  • Silverwing, S1, Netherlands
  • Texas A&M Harmony, Aria, United States
  • Trek Aerospace, Inc, FlyKart2, United States

In addition to crowning the challenge's top winners, the multiday Fly Off will include live air shows with personal flyers and keynotes with industry leaders.

Tickets for the event are available online. Prices range from $20 to $299.
