BA Stops Israel Flights

When War Comes, area May Not Be Safe Enough

British Airways announced Tuesday that, until further notice, it will cease flights to Tel Aviv.

Both Tuesday's flights were allowed to travel; one Wednesday flight is still scheduled; all future flights are canceled.

When "the current crisis" (scheduled to start tonight) is over, the airline says, it will announce flight plans.

Also suspended were the BA flight to Kuwait and Abh Dhabi, effective last night. British Airways intends to monitor the situation, and decide, on a day-to-day basis, whether to keep the flights suspended.

The British Foreign Office has also recommended that its citizens leave Jordan and Bahrain.
