AURA AERO’S INTEGRAL E Conducts Maiden Flight

Two-Seat Trainer Has Aerobatic Capability

INTEGRAL E, the all-electric version of AURA AERO’s two-seat aircraft, made its maiden flight on December 3, paving the way for decarbonizing light aviation.

When the aircraft enters service it will have a flight duration of about an hour and will be able to recharge in under 30 minutes.

AURA AERO says the INTEGRAL aircraft are eagerly anticipated by flight schools and currently has an orderbook of several hundred across all three R, S, and E versions. The two-seat side-by-side INTEGRAL is available in the R version, a travel aircraft with a 210 hp Lycoming AEIO-390/A3B6 engine and an MT constant-speed propeller.

The INTEGRAL S version is the training version with the 180 hp Lycoming IO-360-M1A engine and is equipped for VFR and IFR flight, or the 180 hp Lycoming AEIO-360-M1A engine for Aerobatic and VFR flight, both with the MT constant-speed prop.

The company is proud that the E version is now part of the INTEGRAL aircraft family, and is awaited by training organizations for its low operating costs and zero emissions. The E version is also available as a glider-tow variant. Deliveries of the R version are scheduled to start in early 2025 and the E version in 2026 after flight testing is completed.

Jérémy Caussade, President and co-founder of AURA AERO, said : “It’s a very emotional day for all the AURA AERO teams. The first flight of INTEGRAL E is a huge step forward, not only because the INTEGRAL family is now complete, but also because this aircraft is one of the first to address, in an electric version, many of the needs expressed by training schools and flying clubs. We are very proud of what we have achieved in six years and of the commercial success of the INTEGRAL family. Decarbonization of aviation is now a reality!”
