GECAS Delivers New Boeing 787 To TUI Travel

Enters Into Purchase-and-Leaseback Deal With The Charter Carrier

GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS) has delivered a new Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner to TUI Travel as part of a purchase-and-leaseback transaction. A second 787 aircraft is scheduled for delivery to TUI Travel later this month.

As part of its wide body strategy, GECAS placed an order directly with Boeing in September 2013 for 10 of the Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner models. These aircraft are scheduled for delivery beginning in 2019.

TUI Travel PLC is one of the world’s leading international leisure travel groups operating in approximately 180 countries worldwide. It serves more than 30 million customers in over 31 source markets.

Headquartered in the UK, the Group employs approximately 55,000 people and operates a pan-European airline group consisting of approximately 140 aircraft.
