B757-200 FFS Certified at Pan Am Academy

Level D Sim Ready for Training

Pan Am Flight Academy announced their freshly acquired Level D Boeing 757-200 Full Flight Simulator (FFS) is qualified and ready to go. Equipped with the most up to date flight models, with full IS&S cockpit controls, Rolls Royce RB211 engine models, GPS, and SMGCS support. Thanks to its FFS build, it is capable of UPRT Dir 2 training. The sim is accompanied by a Level 5 flight training device, expected to come online within the coming weeks. Purchased from Dallas, Texas last August, the school has managed to successfully relocate and install them with all the new modifications only months later.

The boom in flight training has been good for Pan Am, who have been adding to their portfolio of simulators for various makes and models of aircraft. Over the last year, they added two more Boeing 767-200 sims, as well as a second Boeing 777 FFS. Increasing interest from international airlines, looking for specialized, but affordable training have made the Miami, Florida school an indispensable industry partner. The demand for nearly all Boeing model simulators has “increased dramatically over the past year,” and is “Forecasted to remain strong,” said Jeff Portanova, President of Pan Am Flight Academy.

"At Pan Am Flight Academy we continue delivering quality and accommodating the demand of commercial airlines and aviation professionals. The incorporation of this simulator is yet another step Pan Am has taken to extend variety and convenience to our customers," said Portanova. "This new equipment is sure to complement and support the qualifications required by our clients."
