APP Jet Center FBO Expands In Florida

APP Jet Center Acquires FBO At Witham Field (SUA) For Second Location In Florida

Earlier today, APP Jet Center, headquartered in Florida announced that it had taken over the Fixed Base Operator “(FBO) at Witham Field Airport (SUA) in Stuart, Florida.

SUA was previously serviced by Atlantic Aviation and Ross Aviation, and the former had moved to occupy the space previously used by the latter. It’s unclear if there is still an independent FBO at SUA, or if APP is now the sole presence there.

APP Jet Center’s operations out of Fort Pierce (FPR) in Florida will be complemented by its new site 20nm south at SUA, and joins APP’s network of centers in Hayward (HWD) California; Manassas (HEF) Virginia; Centennial (APA) Colorado. Of the addition, APP CEO Dan Harrow said "we are delighted to be integrating Stuart into APP's growing network of FBO locations. We have been operating along Florida's Treasure Coast for many years and have firsthand knowledge of the explosive growth for general aviation in South Florida”.

Mr. Harrow further stated that they will “continue to ensure that discerning customers at Stuart and our other FBO locations receive world-class service every day, with a focus on safe, secure, and sustainable operations”, which may loosely translate to steep fees to the not so discerning. As always, pilots are encouraged to “know before you go”, to check what the fuel/service prices are, and avoid a surprise bill.

APP Jet Center is part of Ridgewood Infrastructure, an infrastructure investment group whose focus is water, utilities, transportation, and energy transition. This in turn is part of the Ridgewood Companies, a “real asset” investment manager founded in 1982.
