US Plane Down in Korea

Whereabouts, ID, Condition of Crew Officially Unknown

South of Seoul, South Korea, and about seven miles from the US base of Camp Humphries, a C-12 Huron (militarized Super King Air) crashed Tuesday, about 2:43PM.

There is no word forthcoming about the two-person crew. Reports of the crash's being near a restaurant have prompted questions of injuries on the ground; but so far, there are no reports of any other casualties.

Although the US military says there is no information on the whereabouts and condition of the crew, the Yonhap news agency says, "the bodies of the victims were taken to a hospital."

A postcrash fire was handled by local firefighters. No damage to ground structores was reported.

The cause of the crash is unknown, as well.
