US Airways Resumes Normal Operations at All Gulf State Airports Except New Orlea

But Flights To NOL Are Off For At Least Another Week

US Airways and US Airways Express have resumed normal flight schedules in all cities served in the Central and Eastern Gulf Coast region, with the exceptions of New Orleans, following Hurricane Katrina. New Orleans service has been canceled at this time through the originating flight on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005.

US Airways and US Airways Express operations in Pensacola, FL, and Birmingham, Huntsville, and Montgomery, AL, returned to normal Tuesday. Flights to and from Mobile, AL, resumed with the originating flights Wednesday morning, and Jackson, MS, service was to resume later on Wednesday, the airline said. It was the first to announce some measure of service resumption following Hurricane Katrina.

Although service has largely resumed, US Airways' flexible travel policy remains in effect for customers traveling to and from many Gulf State destinations.
