Ford Extends AirVenture Sponsorship Agreement Through 2011

Will Be Exclusive Automotive Partner For Annual Event

On Thursday. Ford Motor Company and the Experimental Aircraft Association announced an extension through 2011 of the automobile manufacturer's role as exclusive automotive partner of the world's largest annual aviation event, EAA AirVenture Oshkosh.

As part of the agreement, Ford will remain the exclusive vehicle of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh and will return as presenting sponsor of the opening night concert. Sponsorship of the popular five-story "Fly-In Theater" also is extended under the new agreement.

Ford will continue its support for EAA youth initiatives by providing a vehicle each year through 2011, to be sold at the annual Gathering of Eagles auction, with proceeds contributing to EAA youth education and inspirational experiences that prepare young people to become the engineers, pilots and innovators of tomorrow. The Build #1 of 1 Ford Mustang AV8R, a collector's dream vehicle, was to be sold at auction Thursday night at the 2008 Gathering of Eagles. Proceeds from the sale will support these programs.

"This partnership is an excellent fit because the members of EAA and Ford Motor Company share many core values," said Kevin Keling, corporate events manager, Ford Motor Company. "Innovation, courage and entrepreneurship are powerful drivers in both organizations."

"Ford's continued support is important to EAA AirVenture and to each of our members," said EAA President and CEO Tom Poberezny. "Ford adds a great deal to the entertainment value of the event, introduces us to some of the world's most advanced transportation technologies, and by supporting the Gathering of Eagles auction, shows its enthusiasm for the things our members hold close to their hearts."
