John M. Bingham Says It Is Time To 'Embark On New Challenges'

Piaggio Aero Industries, the company active in the design, manufacturing , and maintenance of both aircraft and aero engines, has announced that Piaggio America President and CEO John M. Bingham, who also serves as Chief Marketing Officer of Piaggio Aero Industries, has decided to leave Company.

Giuliano Felten, Piaggio Aero’s Executive SVP Civil Sales has subsequently been appointed President and CEO of Piaggio America INC.

John Bingham, who joined Piaggio Aero in 2009, successfully steered the group’s marketing activities and all of Piaggio’s Aero’s North & South American operations. He has led its industry-leading response to unique challenges in the US market and collaborations with the FAA, and has recently guided the sales and marketing launch of the new Avanti EVO aircraft.

“I have believed for some time that the moment was right for me to embark on some new challenges I have wanted to do, but was committed first of all to see through the worldwide launch of the new Avanti EVO," Bingham said. "It marks the conclusion of a project the entire company has thrown its weight behind and the beginning of another bright new chapter in its history, and also my own. I will always feel great pride at being part of one of aviation’s historic marques.”

“It is a poignant moment for us all," said Giuliano Felten. "We celebrate the launch of the new Avanti EVO and look ahead to a time of renewed growth in the Americas and around the world. We would like to thank John for all his tenacious work and efforts in defining the sales and marketing tools for our next steps forward, and we wish him every success in his new activities.”
