Embraer Announces 2023 Results

Profitable Year Sees 181 Aircraft Deliveries Against $1.2B Backlog

Embraer released its end of year numbers for 2023, and things are apparently pretty good down in Brazil - the firm capped the year with 181 aircraft deliveries for a 13% increase over 2022.

Embraer capped the year with a book to bill excess of 1.3 to 1, representing a backlog of $4.3 billion and a $400 million increase over the previous year. The firm delivered 74 light jets, setting a 7-year record for itself in the process. Similarly, its medium jet offerings were popular, too, with 41 delivered to the tune of 14% growth over 2022.

Their commercial arm saw a 12% bump in interest for their E-Jet family, moving up from 57 aircraft in 2022 to 64 in '23. That book:bill ratio sits less comfortably at 1.1 to 1, but Embraer isn't too worried as they hold a backlog of 298 aircraft. All in all, that's worth $8.8 billion, $200 million more than it had the prior year. One Embraer client, Porter Airlines, exercised its options to order another 25 E195-E2s, adding to their outstanding order of 50 aircraft. The Airline has 46 firm orders remaining to be delivered, and purchase rights for 25 more on top of that.

The hottest sellers across the Embraer portfolio include the E195-E2, with 38 orders; the Praetor 600 with 22 (though it boasts only 1 more than the Praetor 500); and the Phenom 300 with 63.
