Company Delivers Second Of Two Multi-Mission Aircraft For Air Force

Embraer announced the delivery of the second and last C-390 Millennium multi-mission aircraft to the Hungarian Air Force during a ceremony at Kecskemét Air Base. Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky, Minister of Defense of Hungary, along with Embraer executives and other authorities.

The first Hungarian Air Force C-390 entered into service in late 2024 and has been deployed to perform a broad variety of missions. It has completed more than 99% of those missions. This delivery marks the first C-390 operator to receive all aircraft under its order.

Szalay-Bobrovniczky commented, “This is a truly uplifting and joyful moment, an incredibly important event in the development of the Hungarian Air Force. And I can say with certainty that the Hungarian people have become richer and stronger as a result. This type of transport capability was lacking in the Hungarian Air Force's arsenal, but now it is available. Thank you very much to everyone who contributed to this process.”

The new aircraft will also be used in a multi-mission capability for both civilian and military purposes including medical evacuation and transport, humanitarian support, search and rescuet, cargo and troop transport, precision cargo airdrops, paratrooper operations, and air-to-air refueling.

The two Hungarian C-390s are the first-ever to be adapted to accommodate a roll-on/roll-off medical ICU (intensive care unit).
