Sennheiser Aviation Reorganizes To Form Single Global Sales Team

Delivering Greater Efficiencies To Multi-Regional Customer Base

Aviation headset manufacturer Sennheiser announced that it has centralized its aviation-related sales force within the Sennheiser Group to create a single, global sales team. The announcement coincides with new appointments to the Sennheiser Aviation management team, as well as the creation of a Center of Excellence at Sennheiser’s German subsidiary, Sennheiser Vertrieb und Service (SVS), which will serve the European / Middle East region.

“Our newly appointed regional sales managers are an exceptional resource for our global customers. Through this reorganization, our customers will realize faster response times, as well as more consistent marketing and promotion information,” commented David Dunlap, Director Sennheiser Aviation.

The reorganization includes three new appointments, each of which report to David Dunlap. Mathias Koehler (pictured), based at SVS, has been appointed Senior Regional Sales Manager EMEA Northeast and will be responsible for territories including Germany, Nordic States, Switzerland, Austria, Balkan States and Russia. Koehler was previously sales manager for aviation at SVS, where he has served customers in this market for more than seven years.

Meanwhile, Mario Jankowski (pictured, below) has been appointed as Regional Sales Manager EMEA Southwest. He is responsible for territories including the United Kingdom, France, Italy, and the Middle East. Previously, Jankowski worked in Belgian military aviation before spending a decade working at one of Europe’s most popular pilot shops. Koehler and Jankowski are supported by a knowledgeable customer care team at SVS, which provides communication and logistics continuity between customers, sales and operations.

In addition to new management appointments in Europe, Sennheiser Aviation announces that Chris Throndsen (bottom photo) has been named Regional Sales and Marketing Manager for the Americas region. Throndsen has been with Sennheiser Electronic Corporation, the US subsidiary of Sennheiser, guiding aviation sales in the US for 12 years.

Koehler, Jankowski and Throndsen join Singapore-based Maverick Onn, Regional Sales Manager of APAC; Washington, D.C.-based Gus Skalkos, Global Sales Manager C3 / ATC; and Old Lyme, CT-based David Dunlap to form the Sennheiser Aviation global sales team.

“I congratulate Mathias, Mario and Chris on their well-deserved appointments,” Dunlap commented. “Mathias and Chris have made important contributions to Sennheiser Aviation over the course of the last several years, and Mario brings very significant EMEA territory and dealer expertise to our team. These appointments, combined with the strengths of our EMEA-based Center of Excellence, assure our aviation customers and end users the best possible responsiveness from Sennheiser while increasing our overall strategic vision for international growth in the aviation segment.”
