Eclipse Sells Out Integrated Flight Management System (IFMS) Upgrade

Over 100 Owners, Operators Have Put Down Non-Refundable Deposits

Eclipse Aerospace said Monday it has "sold out" of slots in its Avio IFMS completion program. Over 100 customers have placed firm, non-refundable deposits to participate in the program, which is now sold out through March of 2012. This program installs the fully integrated Avio flight management system in the Eclipse Jet, completing what Eclipse calls the most advanced glass cockpit in general aviation.

Over a dozen aircraft have already been delivered with the Avio Integrated Flight Management System installed, which includes dynamically calculated top of descent guidance, coupled LPV (WAAS GPS) approaches, Airway / Victor route navigation, RNP (Auto/Manual), holding patterns and procedure turns, parallel offsets, storage for ninety-nine flight plans, user defined waypoints, nearest airports and navigation aids, and on-route information. The system includes enhanced graphics such as integrated on-route e-charts overlaid on the moving map, freezing levels, winds aloft, stormscope display, progressive zooming, and Canadian NexRad/Metars and TAFs.

“What a huge success for aviation in 2011,” states Mason Holland, CEO of Eclipse Aerospace. “Our customers love this aircraft and the success of this program is another statement to this fact. Our company continues positive profitable growth every month as we continue to support and enhance the Eclipse Jet.”
