Sierra Space is becoming the newest content provider for EAA’s AeroEducate online resource and will be adding space-related content to its already-strong offerings. The agreement with Sierra Space gives EAA AeroEducate a true space-oriented subject matter expert to help create new space-focused activities for the K-12 students and their teachers who use the platform. Embry Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) recently announced that its flight team, the Golden Eagles, will be moving out its legacy fleet of Cessna 150s. The aircraft will be replaced by CubCrafters NX Cubs in late 2025. The Golden Eagles Precision Flight Team is based at the ERAU campus in Prescott, Arizona.

Pilot Had Just Completed The Airplane Build And Was Operating The Airplane As A Test Flight

On June 3, 2023, at 1320 central daylight time, an experimental, amateur-built Zenith 601XL, N601YP, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Albertville, Alabama. The commercial pilot was fatally injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 flight. Preliminary Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast (ADS-B) data revealed that the flight departed Albertville Regional Airport-Thomas J Brumlik Field (8A0), Albertville, Alabama at 1220.
