Airspeeder is revealing first looks at what they call the world's first fully functioning electric flying racing car.
The Airspeeder Mk3, is a full-sized remotely-operated electric vertical take-off and landing vehicle (eVTOL). It will compete in an upcoming remotely-piloted Airspeeder racing series that will stand as a technical test-bed and feeder series to a manned racing series in 2022. A full grid of Mk3 electric flying race-craft is currently being manufactured at Airspeeder and Alauda's technical HQ in Adelaide, South Australia. Piper Aircraft has announced that their exclusive factory training provider for the M600, Legacy Flight Training, has taken delivery of a Frasca M600/SLS Simulator. Training using the new type-specific device began on February 1, 2021. The flight simulator uses a Piper sourced M600 fuselage, pilot seating, sub panels, switching and flight controls which enables real world, model specific training for all M600 aircraft. Pilot Was Unable To Restart The Engine And The Airplane’S Left-Wing Stuck Trees And Terrain
On January 13, 2021, about 1319 eastern standard time, an Extra Flugzeubau GMBH EA300L, N771JP, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Pell City, Alabama. The pilot was not injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. According to the pilot, he departed with 14 gallons of fuel in the wing tanks and 12 gallons in the center tank. After a 10-minute flight, he was on approach about 1,500 ft above ground level when the airplane experienced a total loss of engine power.
