Redbird Flight Simulations Expands

Demand Surge Warrants Staff Increase, Bigger Facilities

Redbird Flight Simulations announced the expansion of its Austin, Texas based operation Tuesday.  To better serve the needs of their growing customer base, Redbird has not only doubled their manufacturing facility but has also added key support and executive staff.

"As flight schools look to improve training, an increasing number of them are finding that our simulators are an obvious benefit to their overall curriculum," said Todd Willinger, Redbird Flight Simulations CEO.  "Our expansion is not only crucial in keeping up with demand in a timely manner, but equally necessary in providing exceptional customer service and support."

Redbird has seen strong demand and customer growth for its simulators both in national and international markets.  Since the 2008 FAA approval of the Redbird AATD's, the company has exceeded its sales projections by over 50%. An additional 6,000 square feet of manufacturing and office space, as well as a number of key new hires, will enable Redbird to successfully meet the rapid demand of its products and better serve customers around the world.

One of those new hires is Terry Kelley as Director of Customer Support and Services. Terry brings more than 20 years of high technology management and service experience to the Redbird team.  Prior to accepting the position at Redbird, Terry was a Divisional CIO at PepsiCo and Dell Inc.  He was also a founding member of Redbird Flight Simulations and Officer's Club AeroVentures.  His experience in remotely supporting complex technology is a huge asset to our growing business.

Corrine Rotan has been named Director of Marketing. Corrine has more than 11 years experience in the high tech industry, specializing in sales, branding, media relations and integrated marketing communications. She has a diverse background with private and public companies, most recently serving as a director of marketing and sales and the principle of the Rotan Group, a marketing consulting firm, creating effective plans and strategies for business growth serving both B2B and B2C markets.

"As we are experiencing a considerable surge in business, the ability to bring Terry and Corrine into our team is not only a significant win for us as a company, but also an immediate value to our clients," says Charlie Gregoire, Redbird Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Services.  "Their expertise, drive and determination are exactly what we need in this critical time."
