Reading Aviation Begins Service at Carl A. Spaatz of Pennsylvania

FBO Merges Ops Into Single Unit On-Field

Reading, Pennsylvania has newly streamlined operations at General Carl A. Spaatz Field now that Reading Aviation has merged both Fixed Base Operators into one.

The operation is now entirely overseen by local government, with a full rebrand and refresh planned to begin in the next 2 years. Once done, Reading will sport updated facilities, more conference space, rest areas, and day offices for local businesses opening at the field. The FBO offers all the hits and all the classics: ‘jet A and 100LL avgas, quick-turn services, towing, cargo handling, planeside access, parking, de-icing, GPU, lav service, potable water, maintenance and detailing. Guests also benefit from rental cars, crew cars, shuttle services, catering, dishwashing, laundry, coffee, ice, Wi-Fi and vending’

“The Reading Regional Airport Authority is proud to now oversee the operation of KRDG’s FBO,” said Zackary Tempesco, airport director. “In doing so, we’re able to better serve as a gateway for a growing part of southeastern Pennsylvania. With a leadership team of forward-thinkers, this operational move will help the authority fulfill its mission to elevate and promote our community’s economic growth, education and connectivity.”

Currently, Reading’s FBO sports an 18,000-square foot building, originally operated by Millennium Aviation, with lounges, offices, and an onsite eatery. In sum, the field offers 70,000 square feet of hangar space, large enough to accommodate an aircraft as large as a Falcon 900.
