Rockwell Collins Introduces New Features To ARINCDirect Flight Operations System

Says Upgrade Includes More Intuitive User Interface

Rockwell Collins has announced a new release of its ARINCDirect Flight Operations System (FOS) mobile app that includes a more modern and intuitive user interface for improved workflow.

“The new 3.0 version of FOS mobile is a complete ground-up rebuild of the app to focus on usability,” said Brian Kruger, senior director, Applications and Services for Rockwell Collins. “Our new interface provides users with a seamless and intuitive tool for managing their flight operations. We have focused our efforts on increasing efficiency in work flows.”

The new version of FOS mobile has been updated to provide a single, fully functioning interface that provides the same experience for users on any type of iOS device including iPhone, iPad and iPad Pro. It also includes push notifications for alerts and changes, and smart search in iOS for finding trip and leg details, improving efficiency for pilots and flight departments.

Additional enhancements include:

  • Support for multiple devices per user, with easy configuration and a unified login which allows users to run the FOS app on any iOS mobile device
  • Electronic flight log submission, facilitating fully paperless operations for flight crews
  • Integration with all ARINCDirect services providing customers a seamless tool set for flight planning, trip support and flight operations
  • Submission of trips into Rockwell Collins international trip support services, directly from an iPhone or iPad, speeding up the coordination process by eliminating the need to make phone calls or send emails

ARINCDirect provides business aviation operators with the single most comprehensive portfolio of flight support solutions in the industry including cabin connectivity services, flight planning, regional and international trip support and flight operations management.
