JSX Taps Skyborne Airline Academy For Pilots

Skyborne Airline Academy to Provide JetSuiteX ‘JSX’ With Pilots

At the end of last month, Skyborne Airline Academy and JSX (formerly JetSuiteX) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) where the former will supply First Officers for JSX’s Embraer ERJ fleet, once those pilots reach 50 hours of multi-engine time, 1000 hours total time.

The MOU states that Skyborne will provide an opportunity for its experienced flight instructors who also meet JSX’s strict hiring standards, to enrich their professional experience with JSX, a US Part 135 air carrier.

Captain Ed Davidson, Managing Director at Skyborne Airline Academy stated “our agreement with JSX marks the first time Skyborne has partnered with a charter operator, and we’re delighted to be supporting the business aviation industry.

With more people flying privately in the US than ever before, relationships like this help address the demand for well-trained pilots”. Capt Mike Anderson, VP of Flight Operations at JSX added that “Skyborne’s thorough trainee selection process and impressive standard of training stand apart as concrete measures for producing professional and highly skilled pilots”.

Skyborne Airline Academy, based in Florida, previously had three professional pathway programs in place (United Aviate, Skywest, and a Zero-To-Flight Instructor), and this new MOU with JSX adds a fourth dimension.

JSX who bill themselves as a ‘hop-on jet service’ operates a fleet of over 70 Embraer ERJ jets and provides a charter service between 13 cities in the western USA.
