Daher Internships Open for Applications

Trans-Atlantic Student Exchange Program Now Open ‘Til March 30

Daher’s Aircraft Division has once again joined hands with the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) to offer an international internship program to bring up the next generation of "promising industry leaders".

The program plucks lucky students from around the world in a 'trans-Atlantic' program to land them in the beating heart of aviation manufacturing. This year, 2 students from North American and Europe will be selected for placement in 8-week assignments in areas of interest around a variety of Daher Aircraft facilities. They won't just find their niche within the company fold, either, with chances to rub elbows with management, floor personnel, pilots, and operators throughout the industry around Daher's hometown stomping grounds. In classic exchange-student fashion, both sides will swap, with the American students bouncing out to Tarbes, France, and the Euros coming over to Sandpoint, Idaho to see the newest addition to the Daher family: Kodiak Aircraft. The interns will then join the team for the biggest summertime bash of all at AirVenture 2024. The program will cover all travel, living expenses, and lodging costs.

“More than ever, the general aviation sector must motivate those who will lead the industry of tomorrow – facing challenges that range from reducing its environmental impact and finding new global supply chain solutions to strengthening the talent pipeline for all types of jobs,” said Nicolas Chabbert, the Senior Vice President of Daher’s Aircraft Division.

Pete Bunce, the GAMA President and CEO continued the sentiment, saying “These internships provide students with an invaluable educational experience that will further their knowledge of the incredible opportunities in our robust and global industry. After spending time with last year’s interns in Tarbes and Sandpoint, it was inspiring to see these extraordinary experiences spark their enthusiasm towards future opportunities in the industry.”

Applicants require US, Canadian, or European citizenship status, be enrolled in a college degree-granting program, and demonstrate their interest in industry topics. Selections will be made based on their resumes, cover letters, and a quick get-to-know-you video submitted to Daher. The deadline for submissions is March 30, 2024.
