NBAA Renews Board Terms For Busch, Schwartz

The Board of Directors of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) announced Tuesday the re-instatement of Steven A. Busch and Douglas Schwartz to the Board. Under the Association's Bylaws, both Board Members were required to resign from their posts in conjunction with occupational changes. Each was appointed to a new term on NBAA's Board by its other 15 members.

"I'm pleased to announce that Steven Busch and Doug Schwartz will continue to bring their time and talents to NBAA's Board of Directors," said NBAA Board Chairman Kenneth E. Emerick. "In their service to the Board, Steven and Doug have each brought a different set of perspectives and experiences, enhancing the diversity of people and viewpoints represented on our Board."

Steven A. Busch is president of Krey Distributing Co, an Anheuser-Busch distributorship. Busch is a member of the Anheuser-Busch brewing family descended from Adolphus Busch, the company's co-founder. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. He holds an ATP license with more than 8,000 hours and is type rated in the Falcon 50/900, the Citation 500 series, the King Air 300 and the Douglas DC-3.

Busch has traveled extensively in the United States and around the world visiting Anheuser-Busch facilities and meeting with government officials. His father, August A. Busch III, was the featured speaker at the 2001 NBAA Annual Meeting & Convention in New Orleans, LA.

Douglas Schwartz is manager of global aviation services at ConocoPhillips, where he is responsible for the oversight of aircraft scheduling, staffing and supervision, aircraft maintenance, and facilities management. Prior to joining ConocoPhillips, Schwartz worked as vice president of flight operations & standards at TAG Aviation and as aviation director at AT&T.

Before that, Schwartz worked for 25 years for FlightSafety International, the world's largest commercial aviation training company. Schwartz holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Vanderbilt University, and attended the University of Houston Graduate School of Business. This will be his second term on the NBAA Board.
