FlightSafety, Gulfstream Enhance Pilot And Maintenance Technician Training

Now Available For Multiple Types Of Gulfstream Jets

FlightSafety International and Gulfstream Aerospace announce enhancements to the training programs and services available to pilots and maintenance technicians of Gulfstream aircraft.

Controller Pilot Data Link Communication training is now available for Gulfstream GIV, GV, G280, G450, G550 and G650 aircraft. It is offered as a FlightSafety eLearning course specific to each aircraft, and through a CPDLC iFlightDEC subscription within FlightSafety's new FlightBag application.

FlightSafety is incorporating the Honeywell Cert Hotel (ASC 911) upgrade into its Gulfstream G450 and G550 simulators located in Dallas, Farnborough, Hong Kong, Long Beach and Wilmington. The upgrade provides ARINC data link services including ACARS-DCL which delivers a departure clearance via data link at airports, allows pilots to now use CPDLC-DCL during training, and adds ADS-B capability to the simulators.

FlightSafety and Gulfstream have added a complete virtual aircraft tour to the joint Total Technical Training program. It provides maintenance technicians with the ability to view the entire aircraft in the classroom and within the training materials provided on an iPad. The tour includes extensive use of embedded video and 3D animations that enable technicians to see below floor panels, components within the tail compartment, or look around the fuel hopper.

Virtual Aircraft Tours are currently available for the Gulfstream G150, G280, G550 and G650. The Gulfstream G450 virtual tour will be available in the near future.
