Aero-TV: Lexavia EVS -- Enhanced Vision With Options

EVS Can Help You See What You (Normally) Can't!

It's darned hard to put one's finger on what is one of THE most welcome new technologies we've had the chance to add to our cockpits over the past decade... but Enhanced Vision Systems certainly have to be considered. The ability to SEE what would normally not be seen in a number of conditions and configurations is a no-brainer... it makes for safer, more knowledgeable flight and the value of such a capability can not be easily estimated.

A new and committed player in this technical arena is Lexavia Integrated Systems. The Pensacola, FL, company currently boasts some 20+ models of EVS products spanning a range of sensing technologies, wavelengths and lens options. And while somewhat new to the EVS game, Lexavia has a 20-year presence in the aerospace spectrum, offering customized flight displays for both civil and military birds.

At the annual AEA 2011 convention and Tradeshow, we spent some time with Chuck Crompton, a 20 year vet of the EVS tech biz, and a guy who helped bring this technology to the business aviation arena. Named the Director, Business Development, Chuck filled ANN in on Lexavia's plans, capabilities and showed us just amazing this technology really is.

Join Chuck and ANN for an 'illuminating' discussion about Lexavia and the growing potential for infrared enhanced vision systems in both fixed-wing and rotary-winged aircraft.
