Will Be Used To Train New SR22 Pilots

Cirrus Design Corporation recently selected Frasca International of Urbana, IL to provide an SR22 Flight Training Device (FTD) for use at the planemaker's training center in Duluth, MN.

The FTD will be used to train new Cirrus SR22 owners upon delivery of their aircraft. It will include CAPS (Cirrus Airframe Parachute System) and de-icing simulation, Avidyne Entegra avionics and Frasca's TruVision 170 visual display system.

I appreciate Frasca's assistance in bringing a flight training device to the Cirrus factory and their interest in providing similar technology at Cirrus Standardized Training Centers.

"In its first weeks of operation, the device in Duluth has already provided dramatic flight lessons to several Cirrus customers," Stone added.
