Oh My, Dubai! Dubai Air Wing Orders Two VVIP AW139s

Over 300 AW319s Ordered Around The World

AgustaWestland tells ANN the helicopter maker signed a new contract with the Dubai Air Wing for two AW139 helicopters in VVIP configuration at this week's 2007 Dubai Air Show.

More than 300 AW139 helicopters have now been ordered by customers around the world making it the best selling helicopter in its class. Over 100 AW139 helicopters are now in service worldwide in a wide range of roles including offshore transport, VIP transport, SAR, EMS, law enforcement and maritime protection.

AgustaWestland says the AW139 is continuing to gain market share in the VIP transport market due to it having the largest cabin its weight class, superior performance -- especially in hot and high environments. The AW139 is also the only all new technology medium twin engine helicopter in production incorporating all the latest safety standards.

The AW139 has found significant success in the Middle East region with orders for nearly 80 signed. Aircraft are already in service with a number of commercial, government and military operators.
