Seawind Secures Sixteen 300C Contracts during EAA Oshkosh

"This Is Evidence The Seawind Is Proven"

Seawind, Inc. says it enjoyed record sales at this year’s EAA Oshkosh. The sixteen airplanes sold bring the total of soon-to-be certified production aircraft orders to forty-six with first deliveries scheduled for the first quarter of 2006.

"This is evidence that the Seawind has been proven," said Dick Silva, President and CEO of Seawind. "Many of our sales have been with our community of followers from the past several years. These loyal, interested people can now see our progress toward certification and the near completion of our manufacturing facility. As a result, they realize that it's time to commit to the purchase of their Seawind. Through our marketing efforts and attendance at aviation shows, we have added over seven hundred new enthusiasts and followers to our community."

Seawind has been moving steadily toward certification over the past few years and has, most recently, been funded for the completion of the project. Since receiving the funding, great strides have been made in the manufacturing, tooling and production of the first test-article airplanes. The test pilot team is under contract and initial orientation flights are being conducted in the proof-of-concept airplane over the next few weeks. Certification flights in the test-articles will commence this winter.

"We have solidified our efforts at providing a speedy, comfortable, and versatile high performance airplane," said Marketing and Sales Manager Bill Poirier. "It’s amazing how many people we have following our progress and are waiting eagerly to purchase the Seawind 300C. We are committed to providing the best fastest and only new single-engine amphibian to be certified in many, many years."
