Bede Aircraft and SureWings Enter Strategic Partnership

State-of-the-Art Flying for Recreational and Professional Pilots

BEDE Aircraft and SureWings announced they have entered into a strategic partnership to incorporate SureWings safety systems and avionics into Bede’s aircraft.

The collaboration brings together BEDE’s innovative aircraft designs with the advanced technology capabilities of SureWings to enhance performance, safety, and reliability to create new kits for home builders. The partnership is also expected to inspire the development of new features and advanced models to expand the boundaries of aviation.

The partnership introduced the first of its new kits as the BD-4C-S SureWings Edition Complete Aircraft Kit.

The aircraft represents a comprehensive set of integrated equipment at a competitive price point and the kit incorporates cost savings whenever possible without compromising safety or performance. The result is a capable, safe, and affordable aircraft with the standard equipment and services listed:

  • BEDE BD-4C Airframe
  • Viking 200 hp Turbo FADEC Engine with in-flight propeller actuator and single-lever thrust control
  • DUC 5-Blade in-flight adjustable propeller
  • Airframe Emergency Recovery Parachute
  • AmSafe Seatbelt Airbag Restraint
  • Astronix Max-Vis-X1 Infrared Camera
  • Epic Optix Eagle-II Heads-Up Display integrated with the IR camera

The airplane can be built in either a tailwheel or tricycle gear configuration. SureWings will offer assistance to home builders through a nationwide network of builder centers which are currently under negotiation at several locations.
