Remembering The Incomparable Bob Hoover, 11/18, 1300-1600PT

Aero-News Network ‘Proud to Help Remember Bob’ at www.letbobfly.net/live

Special Note From The Aero-TV Production Team: The first wave of ANN staff is heading for California as you read this... after a whirlwind effort of too-few days, working 24/7, prepping to honor the most amazing flyer we ever met... and our friend, Bob Hoover. It's been a tough process and one that consumed all the extra resources we had at our disposal. Many of you (Thank YOU!) have asked about how you can help us defray the costs of all this -- and if you care to donate/help us with the costs of this effort, please Log on to http://kindredspirit.com/products/donate-to-hoover-memorial and post your donation to our secure shopping cart...
Thanks for your consideration -- we'll see you LIVE on November 18th starting before 1400PT.

Bob Hoover was, to virtually everyone in the aviation world, the “Pilot’s Pilot.”

One of aviation’s most celebrated aviators, Hoover pioneered a legendary life as a fighter pilot, test pilot, airshow pilot and aviation figurehead. Whether escaping a German prisoner of war camp in WWII by stealing a German fighter, flying in support of Chuck Yeager’s record-breaking sound-barrier flights, testing dozens of leading edge airplanes (often for the first time) or flying flawlessly thorough hundreds of airshow performances; Hoover’s 94 years were packed with adventure, class, distinction, and a gentlemanly grace heretofore unmatched by any other flyer. The beloved aviator passed away October 25th.

In a fitting tribute to a life well lived and dedicated to aviation, Hoover’s friends are ensuring that those who cannot attend in person will be there in more than spirit by broadcasting the event over the internet.
The Bob Hoover Memorial Celebration scheduled for November 18th, from 1400-1600 Pacific Time, will be webcast live to the aviation community and the rest of the world from Clay Lacy Aviation, in Van Nuys, California. The primary online viewing portal may be accessed at www.letbobfly.net/live from 1300 PT to 1600 PT, with an hour of preliminary interviews and discussions of the life of Robert A ‘Bob’ Hoover preceding the event that will commence at 1400 PT.

The Celebration of Life honoring Robert A. "Bob" Hoover will be hosted by Masters of Ceremonies Sean D. Tucker and Danny Clisham.

Following the program, finger food and refreshments will be provided.

Upon arrival, please follow directions to parking. Please bring your printed ticket to the event. There is a two-ticket limit per order. FBO parking is on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Aero-News Network production team webcasting the event welcomes other aviation media and general media wishing to commemorate the life of Mr. Hoover to use video and audio from the event, and instructions for live embedding of the online programs will be posted to www.letbobfly.net/live as well.

Following the event, the entire program will be offered via archived programs and edited excerpts that will be posted to www.youtube.com/aerotvnetwork, as well. Plans for a DVD release, in support of Hoover related programs and charities are in the planning stages, as well, with info to follow shortly.

ANN, Clay Lacy, Sean Tucker, Danny Clisham, and many other persons and organizations are donating their services in support of the event and are honored to help bring this event to the world and commemorate a unique man whose impact on the aviation community will never be forgotten.
