NBAA Enhances Static Display Safety

Wick Covers And Aircraft Markers Loaned At No Charge

For the third year, the NBAA will be offering exhibitors Plane Sights Static Wick Covers and Aircraft Markers to enhance safety at the Convention's DeKalb Peachtree Airport Static display.

Wick Covers

Wing tips and elevator tips can be difficult to see while positioning display aircraft on the ramp. With so much going on during the show and the setup, it's easy to be momentarily distracted, and there's a risk of damage. Static wicks and their mounting bases can also easily be broken off by setup personnel or distracted attendees. Unfortunately, many aircraft are not airworthy without all static wicks intact.

"Last year, the folks at the Bombardier Static Display were especially grateful for the Static Wick Covers, as some of the expensive winglet dischargers on the Challenger 300 and 605 cannot be removed, and are prone to breaking off - base and all." Michael Moore, Plane Sights Product Line Manager.

Plane Sights Static Wick covers and Aircraft Markers with reflective streamer make wing tips and static dischargers more obvious, and often prevent ramp rash damage. Again this year they're available for static display exhibitors to borrow from the NBAA at no charge during the convention.
