NAA Announces Return of Annual Record Celebration

After 2 Years of Cancellations, There's a Lot to Catch Up On

The National Aeronautic Association has announced their first event in some time, holding their Aviation Records Celebration on April 28th.

The Association is devoted to maintaining and remembering the details of air and space achievements, no matter how small. After years of postponement, they will hold an in-person Celebration in order to honor the most memorable aviation records of 2019, 2020, and 2021. This 'catch up' session will include a series of other notable accomplishments that occurred since the last meeting, too. The meeting will be a look back at a few very strange and memorable years, which will be reviewed through the NAA Contest and Records Department's effort at selecting the "most memorable" moments since 2019. The NAA’s position gives it an impressive overview of many facets of the state of aeronautics as a whole, as they watch each portion advance, whether flying faster, higher, further, longer, or more efficiently.

The event will be hosted by the Lockheed Martin Fighter Demonstration Center in Arlington, Virginia. Part of the fun in using their location is the simulator bank on-site, which will be open to attendees (though likely quite hotly contested.) Those interested can try their hand at flying a simulated F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter or an F-22 Raptor demonstrator. The Fighter Demo Center is a secure location, requiring attendees to provide a bit more information than they would for similar events otherwise. Ticket costs stand at $70 for general admission, or free for those being honored.
