Hillsboro (OR), September 20 and 21

The Oregon International Airshow, presented by Hillsboro Auto Group, will host its 16th annual event, taking place at the Hillsboro (OR) Airport on Saturday, September 20, and Sunday, September 21, 2003.

In celebration of the 100 years of flight, this year's show will feature exciting aerial acts by the best in aviation, including The Patriots Jet Team, the F18 and F16 Demonstration Teams and the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team. The weekend will also include warbirds, antique, and experimental aircraft exhibits. Saturday night festivities will conclude with the popular "Twilight Show" and a massive fireworks display sponsored by Entertainment Fireworks, Inc.

Corporate sponsors for this year's airshow include: Advanced Technology Group, Bi-Mart, Coca Cola, Fisher Farms, Jones & Roth, CPA, Lithtex Printing, Nike, Inc., Pacific Intermedia, Port of Portland, Spirit Mountain Casino, Tuality Healthcare, and Twin Oaks Autoworks. Columbia Community Bank, Entercom Portland, Hawthorn Farm Athletic Club, Hillsboro Argus, Community Newspapers Inc., Impact Advertising, KUIK Radio, Latin News and Metro West Ambulance have also enlisted as supporting sponsors.

"We are thrilled to have so many outstanding companies supporting this year's airshow," said Don McCoun, President of the Airshow Board of Directors. "As the airshow celebrates its first year of operation as a 501c3 non-profit organization, the continued support from our communities, as well as from local and regional businesses, will be critical in the continuation and success of this premier Oregon event."

The Oregon International Airshow -- Hillsboro claims to be "the largest Air Show in the Pacific Northwest." Proceeds from the 2003 Airshow will directly benefit Hillsboro Schools Foundation and various charities sponsored by the Hillsboro President's Club. In its 16-year history, the Airshow has contributed more than $1.3 million to Oregon-based non-profit organizations.
