PRODUCT: Certain Honeywell International Inc. AS907 series turbofan engines.

ACTION: Final Rule.

COST: The FAA estimates that this ECU sealing affects 477 engines installed on airplanes of U.S. registry. The FAA estimates the cost of compliance as follows:

  • Inserting copy of Figure 1, into the AFM: 2 work-hours × $85 per hour = $170 per aircraft.
  • Application of sealant for ECUs in airplan: 5.5 work-hours × $85 per hour = $467.50. Parts cost $50. Cost per aircraft $517.50.
  • Fault Check of Maintenance Data Computer: 5 work-hours × $85 per hour = $425 per computer.
