Advanced Air Mobility To Highlight NBAA-BACE

First Three Companies To Plan Exhibits Featured

The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) announced that the first three companies planning Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) exhibits at the NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) are Electra.aero, Joby Aviation, and Lillium.

The three AAM exhibits will be featured in this year’s Emerging Tech Pavilion at BACE in the Las Vegas Convention Center. NBAA expects that more AAM companies will be added to those exhibits.

The three AAM companies bring different attributes to the show.

Electra.aero in Virginia leads in direct aviation with its hybrid-electric Ultra Short airplanes that can take off and land in under 150 feet, and carry up to nine passengers or 2,500 pounds of cargo on trips up to 500 nautical miles.

Joby Aviation in California is developing an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft it seeks to operate as part of a convenient, fast, and quiet global passenger service.

Lillium, in Germany, is a leading electric aircraft manufacturer currently building a fully electric jet that takes off and lands vertically and can carry six passengers on intercity and regional trips.

NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen commented on the exhibits, “Advanced air mobility is quickly moving from concept to reality, and NBAA-BACE will be the preeminent event to see how this game-changing, on-demand form of transportation will have implications for business aviation and beyond.”

The NBAA-BACE will be held at the convention center as well as at nearby Henderson Executive Airport (KHND) from October 22-24, 2024.
