Miracle Flights Raises Nearly $8,000 In Honor Of Giving Tuesday

Provides Financial Assistance For Medical Flights For Sick Children

Miracle Flights, the nation's leading medical flight organization, rounded off a successful Giving Tuesday campaign by raising close to $8,000. The campaign, titled "Flight. Thrive. Five", matched every dollar donated up to $5,000 for sick children in need of specialized medical care.

Based in Las Vegas, the nonprofit has provided financial assistance for medical flights so that seriously ill children may receive life-altering, life-saving medical care and second opinions from experts and specialists throughout the U.S. for three decades.

"We're both honored and humbled by the outpouring of support this Giving Tuesday," said Miracle Flights' National CEO, Mark E. Brown. "With the average cost of a round-trip flight nearing $500, sometimes the financial burden of travel can be too much for families to bear. Donations, such as this, help to alleviate those costs and allow families to focus on striving towards a healthier future."

Giving Tuesday was created as a global day dedicated to giving back. On Tues., Dec. 1, charities, families, businesses, community centers and students around the world were encouraged to come together to celebrate generosity and to give.
