Upgraded: Eric Hill

Becomes GM At Million Air's Long Beach FBO

Million Air Long Beach and Million Air Interlink, Inc., a franchise of fixed-base operation (FBO) facilities, today announced Eric Hill has been hired as general manager of California's Million Air Long Beach.  Hill, who began work on Feb. 7, will be responsible for overseeing both the general and commercial aviation activities at the Southern California-based FBO.

Hill joins Million Air with more than 15 years of aviation industry experience.  He most recently worked for two years at OK3 Air in Heber City, Utah, where he served two roles:  director of line services for the company' s four FBO locations and manager of the Ogden, Utah FBO facility.  Other experience includes 14 years of service for Great Western Aviation in Ogden, where he worked in a variety of positions, including director of business operations, member of board of directors, general manager, FBO manager and line supervisor.  He began his aviation career in 1985 at Queen Bee Air Specialties in Rigby, Idaho as a member of the ground crew for this crop-dusting company.

"I love the aviation industry because you get the opportunity to work with people from all over the world," Hill said.  "Million Air is the premier FBO company.  I am truly honored to take on this position and look forward to taking the Long Beach location to a new level of success."

Hill takes over the general manager role from Glenn Ray, president of Million Air Long Beach, who has been serving in both roles since taking over as president in 1995.  One of Hill's first goals is to focus heavily on employee training, with particular emphasis on safety.  "Time spent enhancing a company's safety record can directly relate to an increase in the bottom line," he said.

"Eric is the perfect general manager because he not only brings a wealth of industry knowledge, but he also has great skill in working with a wide variety of people," Woolsey said.  "Whether an employee, customer, business associate or community leader, he knows how to find the common ground and make the situation work for the highest good of everyone involved.  This is an important attribute of a general manager, and we are proud to have him as part of the Million Air family."

A native of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Hill performed his undergraduate studies at Utah State University in business management.  He also holds numerous aviation industry certifications.  He has been married for 15 years and has two boys and one girl, ages 13, 9 and 6.  In the next few weeks, the entire family will relocate from Ogden, Utah to Southern California.
