AJW Group Appoints Henry Game As Chief Strategy Officer

Experienced Aviation Professional Charged With Meeting Company's Objectives

AJW Group has appointed Henry Game to the new role of Chief Strategy Officer as the organization completes its new executive team to lead the sustained growth and development of the business worldwide. He will help define the Group’s strategy and execute delivery of that strategy, ensuring that the diverse AJW organization meets its strategic objectives. He will foster and enable change where necessary to nurture and support AJW’s business ethos of flexibility and innovation within the complex and dynamic aviation environment.

With a career background that was initially aviation focused within the customer services and operations arena, and more recently diversified into other operational environments. Game was previously Chief Executive Officer of Bland Group Holdings Ltd., a diverse privately owned family group with businesses and investments in the UK (manufacturing, precision engineering, travel and transportation, and property), as well as internationally in the US, Gibraltar and the Western Mediterranean. Here, he was accountable and responsible for the overall financial and operational performance of the Group.

Prior to this, Game was Managing Director of Hovertravel Ltd., managing all operational, financial and commercial aspects of the business.  His operational roles within the airline industry include Regional General Manager for easyJet, spearheading the integration and transition of the GB Airways personnel into the combined operation predominantly at Gatwick Airport, and responsible for the UK operation of easyJet.  This was preceded by a variety of senior roles at GB Airways culminating in the position of Head of Customer Services.

“Henry’s ability to offer broad transferable experience and understanding, combined with his excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a reputation for meeting new challenges, will fit with AJW’s adaptive nature within the aircraft component support world and the ever-changing demands of the business,” said  Christopher Whiteside, president, AJW Group. “The position of Chief Strategy Officer carries a global remit and I know he will enjoy the full support our worldwide team of over 700 people across our regional bases in the UK, US, Montreal, Singapore, Dubai and Shanghai.”

Game will report directly to AJW Group President, Christopher Whiteside and the Group board and will work alongside Boris Wolstenholme, CEO of AJW Aviation. He joins the organisation on September 5th and will be based at AJW’s corporate headquarters in the UK.
