Rotax Extends Warranty Service Terms

Flight School Locator And Plans For The 2014 Rotax Fly-In Also Unveiled

Two new warranty extension programs have been introduced by BRP for its four-stroke engines. The R.E.S.T program is effective as of November 1, 2013. The “+ 1 year or 200 hours” program that includes a one-year warranty extension or 200 additional flight hours, whichever occurs first;; and the “+ 3 years or up to TBO” program that provides three years additional warranty or up to a TBO (Time Before Overhaul) of 2,000 flight hours, whichever occurs first.

To ensure consumers have access to local service, the extended warranty is purchased at the distributor located where the Rotax engine is used.

BRP says it has committed itself to highest customer satisfaction by offering outstanding service and support. The program gives the customer peace-of-mind and ensures that the engine is serviced by professional and trained Rotax service partners using only genuine Rotax parts. The offer only applies if allowed under the applicable law. Additional information is available from local Rotax distributors.

If you're looking for a flight school near you, BRP has introduced the brand new Rotax flight school locator. The simple online service allows customers to find the nearest flight school to their hometown.

In order to find a flight school close to home, the user must simply enter his or her country (and/or postal code, city) into the flight school locator. To improve the service, BRP will gladly support flight schools who wish to be listed in the Rotax flight school locator.

To mark the 25th anniversary of the Rotax 912 engine family – the engine that changed light aviation – BRP is organizing the second Rotax Fly-In. First organized in 2008, the 2014 Rotax Fly-In will take place from June 5 to 7, 2014 at the airport in Wels, Upper Austria, in cooperation with the Aero Club Weisse Moewe Wels. More than 135 pilots from 15 countries participated in the first event in 2008. One of the highlights will be a visit of the BRP facility in Gunskirchen where Rotax engines are developed and manufactured.
