Pan Am Academy, Airline Ground Schools Offer FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Course

Pam Am Providing Simulator And Other Training To AGS

Pan Am International Flight Academy, in alliance with Flamingo Air’s Airline Ground Schools (AGS), is now offering FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certification training to Pan Am students, while Pan Am is providing simulator and other training to Airline Ground Schools.

Now one of the largest Aircraft Dispatch Training schools in the world, Airline Ground Schools was established in 1967 and boasts nearly 55,000 total graduates. Its global campus is located at historic Lunken Airport in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Pan Am International Flight Academy is a direct descendent of Pan Am International Airlines and is based at Pan Am’s World Headquarters in Miami, FL. Pan Am International Flight Academy is a major force in the training of Air Traffic Controllers and Pilots.

Currently, Flamingo Air/AGS has the only FAA-approved Distance Learning Program of its kind, which provides 152 of the required 200 hours of instruction online. Using this system, designed by AGS President Sharon McGee, a student is required to come to the AGS campus for six days only - not six weeks – which is currently the case with most other schools.

"This program is of tremendous interest to domestic and international students, as well as those already in the industry,” said McGee. “It’s an attractive program due to the fact that it requires less time off of work and less time away from home, which is convenient and far less expense.”

"The cooperative agreement between Pan Am International Flight Academy and Airline Ground Schools offers campuses in Miami and Cincinnati," McGee said. "Throw in the Distance Learning Program, and we have a global educational program that rivals anything the world has to offer.”
