DIMOR Group Expanding Historic Battle Creek Aircraft Plant

Investing $12M In 45,000 SF JUNKERS Aircraft Factory

The DIMOR Group, led by passionate aviator Dieter Morszeck, announced it is investing another $12 million into the WACO Aircraft Corporation’s campus to build a brand-new JUNKERS Aircraft factory in Battle Creek, Michigan. This investment is on top of $30 million DIMOR Group has already invested in the campus.

The investment also reaffirms the company’s commitment to build handcrafted, open-cockpit aircraft and to the region’s economic development.

Site prep work is already underway for the 45,000 square foot plant that will be equipped with state-of-the-art machinery, assembly fixtures, and all-new tooling that enables increased metal forming and machining capabilities to support production.

The campus is currently home to open-cockpit biplane builder WACO Aircraft Corporation as well as CENTENNIAL Aircraft Services, a full-service FBO that offers fuel sales, pilot amenities, and general aircraft services.

JUNKERS Aircraft models are assembled entirely by hand using parts and component assemblies currently manufactured at the company’s sister plant in Oberndorf, Germany. The new facility in Battle Creek will produce those parts and assemblies in the U.S. while providing about 40 production and assembly jobs over the next five years.
