ASR Chutes Selected For Speed Aircraft F100 and F200

Companies Announce Landmark Development and Supply Agreement

Aviation Safety Resources and Speed Aircraft announced the completion of a strategic development and supply agreement that will make ASR’s aircraft emergency parachute recovery system standard equipment on these aircraft.

“Aircraft emergency parachute recovery systems are essential to the market growth of general aviation market,” said Larry Williams, ASR president and CEO.

“ASR is very excited to offer the next generation of recovery systems specifically designed to meet the safety needs of this market. We are applying new technology, reducing the product cost and schedule risk. Our patent-pending solutions are designed to safely bring down an entire aircraft and its occupants in the event of an in-air emergency. Clearly safety must be at the front of development for vehicles to successfully compete in this market.”

“The F100 and F200 Twin Jet were designed to fulfill a need for exceptional performance and utility previously unavailable and in accordance with FAR Part 23 standards for general aviation acrobatic category aircraft. Excellent handling throughout the entire speed range and slow flight characteristics, with a stall speed of 57 knots.

“With ASR's aircraft emergency parachute recovery system onboard, these aircraft also provide the highest degree of safety,” said Robert Miller, president of Speed Aircraft.

Under the terms of the long-term cooperative agreement, ASR’s engineering and design team will work with Speed Aircraft to design, produce, and test a recovery system that matches the unique dimensions and requirements of the F100 and F200 aircraft.

Williams added “ASR coupled with Speed Aircraft, have now put into place this groundbreaking agreement which demonstrates both companies’ continual ability to advance the technological and innovative safety solutions for the industry. The quality of their aircraft design is highly esteemed throughout the aviation industry. We at ASR look forward to furthering our role in providing lifesaving technology to this expanding
worldwide market. We look forward to a solid and mutually-beneficial, long-term relationship with Speed Aircraft.”
