L3Harris Airline Academy Launches Additional Pilot Training Programs

New Streamlined Training Packages Leverage Orlando Base for UK Students

L3Harris Technologies launched a pair of new ATPL programs aimed those training towards their UKCAA, EASA or Dual Pilot license – the Integrated ATPL and the Flying Start ATPL.

The Integrated ATPL packages L3Harris’ Airline Academy’s commercial pilot training with accommodation throughout the United States-based flight training phase, based out of their Orlando, Florida facility. The program grants access to its graduate placement pool, with additional packages available for new trainees during the UK-based ground school and advanced training phases. It includes L3Harris’ “Training Assurance”, which allows students to progress towards their training goals without incurring additional costs. That helps to minimize student costs, whether a progressing student needs more hours, allowing students to retest for their knowledge exams or add extra flight time if required.

The Flying Start ATPL, in comparison, provides direct entry to the company’s flight training program for those students who have already successfully completed their Theoretical Knowledge ATPL exams. Just like the former package, it too grants training assurance and access to the L3Harris placement pool.

“In response to cost of living increases across the globe we have launched two ATPL programmes at price points we believe reflect the value of our training proposition,” said David Coward, vice president and general manager of L3Harris Airline Academy. “Our prices now include accommodation throughout the U.S.-based flight training phase, training assurance, providing peace of mind should the trainees need additional training and access to our world-renowned Graduate Placement Pool, providing graduates career services and support as they look to start their airline career. This makes our pricing clear and transparent.”
