TL Sport Aircraft announced their newest addition to their stable, the side-by-side Sparker, at the 2021 DeLand Sport Aviation Showcase. Meant to be a luxurious, high-performance personal aircraft, the Sparker is on track to build a niche all its own, an LSA with all the bells and whistles of a larger, more expensive airplane.
Trey Murdaugh, owner of TL North America, says that importation of Czech TL-Ultralight's aircraft will begin in 2022 as an experimental, granting them significant leeway in equipage and trim. He says the Sparker's 24-cubic-foot cargo capacity is best in its class in Europe, much like its performance. Buyers can choose from a few engine configurations, including an economical Rotax 912ULS or an Edge Performance STI with 154 hp, capable of flight up to 18,000 feet at 7.5 gph.
