The Usual Suspects: ANN's AOPA Expo Staff Ready To Report!

We're There -- Hope You Will Be, Too!

By ANN Associate Editor Pete Combs

We'll, "we're there" is a bit of an overstatement. They're there. The guys. For the third time this year, they're taking a roadtrip and I get left behind. Sheesh.

What's even worse is, I get to write up the preview story about our coverage. Well, I'm a loyal ANN citizen. I'll do it without complaining. Play it straight. You know, be a good soldier.

Jim Campbell (below), venerable pilot, noted author, will lead the coverage team. You'll be able to find him all over the convention. Look for his coverage of and input into the various seminars.

News Editor Tim Kern (below) will also be on the floor, covering several aspects of the show. Tim will concentrate on scoping out new technologies and reporting issue-oriented stories from the floor of the show. Tim is known for his intellect and dashing good looks.

One of our most gadget-oriented writers, Kevin O'Brien (pictured below, interviewing a TSA source), will be down from his home in Massachusetts. Kevin is a diligent, all-business sort of guy who is strictly dedicated to getting the story right.

Juan Jimenez (below) will be there to cover the confab from an aviator's perspective. A pilot himself, Juan has often been seen with hair smouldering and face blackened after working on his own BD5. Juan is a really nice guy. Don't let his size or demeanor fool ya.

Our newest staff member, Marketing Director Larry Pius (right) will also be at AOPA 2003. Larry brings a wealth of sales savvy to our team, able to leap tall buildings with a single ad. He'll seek out and destroy -- er, seek out and inform -- those at the show who are interested in advertising with ANN. You'll know him by his lime-green leisure suit.

Have a good time at the show.

Gee, I wonder, after this article, if they'll notice what a good trooper I am and let me go to the next show! Let's hope, eh?
