NASA Awards Contract For Aircraft Operations Support

Contract Valued At $264 Million

NASA has awarded the Aircraft Maintenance, Logistics, Integration, Configuration Management and Engineering (ALICE) contract to Yulista Tactical Services, LLC, in Huntsville, Alabama.

The contract includes a cost-plus-award-fee baseline with indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity award-fee and fixed-fee task orders. The contract base period of 18 months begins March 1, 2018, and is followed by a one-year option and a 15-month option. The total maximum value of the contract is approximately $264 million.

The ALICE contract provides support for the Flight Operations Directorate at NASA's Johnson Space Center, and aircraft based at Ellington Field in Houston, and El Paso, Texas, NASA's Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia, and other locations, as required. Yulista will provide flight operations services and aircraft maintenance, as well as engineering and operational support for a variety of airframes, engines and support equipment.

The Flight Operations Directorate is home to Johnson's aircraft operations and is responsible for planning and executing human spaceflight missions. This includes the training and support of astronauts, flight directors and flight controllers.
